The DUO Drag Metal Cast Slim 80g is a long-casting, slim-profile metal jig designed for shore jigging, spinning and saltwater jigging. Its streamlined baitfish profile is designed to imitate slender baitfish while maintaining excellent casting distance and stable action.

The center-balanced design reduces water resistance and allows the jig to respond quickly to rod movements, from slow actions through to high-pitch jerks. During a jerk-and-fall retrieve, it produces intense flashes on the jerk and an attractive falling action that can trigger strikes as the lure drops.

At 80g and 90mm, this is the heaviest version of the Drag Metal Cast Slim range, making it ideal when you need greater casting distance, deeper presentations or more control in stronger currents and deeper water. It can be fished from rocky shores, breakwaters, beaches, estuaries and offshore.

Recommended Techniques

The Drag Metal Cast Slim 80g is particularly effective with jerk & fall, high-pitch jerks, slow lifts and controlled retrieves. Vary the speed, strength and length of your jerks and allow the jig to fall through different depths to locate active predators.

The slim profile makes it especially effective when fish are feeding on small, slender baitfish, while the 80g weight provides the power needed to reach distant and deeper feeding zones.
